This is my February Ornament Finish. It is from Stoney Creek - Season of Joy Book. I am going to try very hard in the Month of March to find a design that is not Christmas Green and Christmas Red. We are a Candy Cane, Peppermint family, so this will work great on the tree. Fingers crossed I will get it "tree ready" before 12/25/2013. I joined the Ornament SAL over at Stitching Lotus, take a peak at her blog to see all wonderful ornaments stitched this month.
Christmas Stitching is so much fun.

Celtic Beauty, Fabric Changed |
Celtic Beauty - Papillion Creations |
So Far this year, I have tried to pick one of my Crazy 15, in 15 to work on each week - and I never know what one I choose, just pick. Keeping in mind, I have two Monthly Goals - One Ornament and My Snow Guys/Belles Snowman. This is my first update of Celtic, and I switched the fabric. I had started it with two over one, on 28 ct fabric. I really did not like how it looked - so I switched - I am not sure of the count of this but it is about 22 - or maybe 20 - it is just so much easier for me to stitch this project on. I also had started too far to the left - and since I had to FROG - I decided it was a great time to switch the fabric., and I am using 1 thread over 1. I like it. And Isn't that the deal.
That is the truth - I have to like it - and I am reminded I have to Stitch my Stitch - and I take ideas, and suggestions from everyone - as everyone is amazingly helpful and I love all comments and have learned more about stitching from my blog... But in the end, it is my stitch. And I know you all will agree. That's what I love about blogging.

Sunday Update
Once again we have been blessed, and the weather has been gentle to the city of Syracuse. Not far to the North and East, the people were really dumped on - we only got about 8 inches here, and the roads were clear by 7:30 Saturday morning and I had dug out the truck. It did take me quite awhile to get her out of the snow, and even with my 4 wheel drive, I had some trouble, but we really were lucky in the city. My thoughts have been with others though, along the East Coast, buried and had power outages.

And I am very happy to say I completed, Its Winter this weekend. I had a stitching weekend, and had a finish. This is the first time I ever remember adding a bead or anything to a finish - this one has the snowflake, and it was like a rush as I sewed it on.

Snow People February Update

February Update |
It is surprising to me that I have been able to stay on track with my Snow people SAL, but I am really having fun stitching these guys. Fingers Crossed I will be able to keep up.
This is the very tiny ornament I did for my 2013 Ornament SAL. I did start this as one of my Crazy Cross Stitch 15. I should have posted on 1/30, so hope it is not too late. I have one goal for 2013, and that is to finish off all my ornaments and hang them on the tree..... Fingers Crossed.

Town of Halloween January Update |
I have put her away for now, and I am not sure what I will be stitching next, but hope to keep some extra time this weekend for stitching. I have work tomorrow, and wedding stuff as my daughter is getting married in August, and there seems every weekend there is something to do.
Super Bowl Sunday - as I don't care who really wins, I hope it is a well played game and it stays exciting to the end.
It was a crazy week here weather wise - for you guys too? We had 62 on Wednesday and a blizzard with lots of snow today.
Had a eye opening experience this week at the Car Dealer - took the trunk in for Oil change, and as I was sitting in the waiting area with others, I was shocked to overhear so many people's phone conversations. My goodness, I know all about one persons Commission checks and sales reports, another persons kids, and another persons deadlines at work. Made me think a little, I wonder just how many people I have shared my personal business with???
Stay warm and safe.
