Small Sal January 2016

January 2016 1st Small Sal

I am so excited.  Today is my first post in the Small Sal over at
Stitching Lotus  This is from JBW Designs, French-Country Mitten.
I used DMC 400.  I love this type of stitching, and have several more in my TODO bucket.

This is my in between new start.  LHN -- I am feeling the need to step out of my current life, and step into the old one.  The one where things were slow and simple.  I would love a Rotary Wall Phone in my kitchen with a super long cord, that was always tangled - and I could stretch into the other room to have a private conversation.  This is a feel good little stitching project.

It's almost February - my goodness....

  5. I like the fabric you used to stitch Country Mitten. JBW has so many designs that I want to stitch! You did a great job.
Oh, I remember those long telephone cords! :-) I recently picked up a rotary phone (in an antique store) for my 28 year old son who did grow up with them but wanted one.

  6. I love your mitten - those designs are so much fun!
I too remember rotary phones with long cords. My Grandma had hers for many years after we had replaced ours with a push button phone.

  9. The mitten is lovely! All of the little animals and other motifs are so sweet. That sort of design is something I've been increasingly drawn to. They look simple and delicate, but the more you look at them and spot the different motifs, the richer they become.

    Nice job!

  11. Hi, returning the following. Thanks for the comment on my blog, you are a "no-reply" person so I can't email back.
I love the little JBW charts and have stitched a couple myself.
I also laughed at your previous post abouth the 2015 achievement of "not choking your boss" which seems a good one!
