No more Whining about the Rain in April

Sunday Morning I woke up to this wonderful backyard

This was about three inches of new snow.  And we received 3 more for a total of 6.6 inches of snow yesterday.  And Wait, we are not done.  More snow predicted for the rest of the week.

One amazing thing about a day of cold and snow, I was able to complete the next month of HandsOnDesigns year in Chalk -- April.  Smiling with every stitch, as I watched the snow fall.

I also have two small updates, Cardinal and Candy Cane and Tender Heart (Retreat Piece).

Enjoy the day.

  1. What a lovely scene to wake up to. Perhaps not exactly correct for April but still calming. Lovely stitching too. :)

  2. Your finished Hands on Design looks great. Your updates are coming along nicely!

    1. Forgot to add...I'm sorry it's still snowing...Our weather is heating up here...The next few days will be 89 degrees and then back in the 70's..Spring is here!

  3. Well, at least you made good use of your snowy day - they have to be good for something, right? Lovely finish.

  4. OH my, this seems to be real April weather. We also know snow in April but I keep my fingers crossed for not seeing snow this month this year. I hope it doesn't stay too long with you.
Great progress on your projects, Melinda.

  5. Brr. We're tent camping in a few weeks so somehow I hope we find warm temps again here in Indiana too. We've had snow but nothing stuck at least. Love your stitching. The April chalk piece is beautiful.

  6. Wow, look at all that snow, it's amazing. Spring stitching looks beautiful and loving your other two projects. K x

  7. Sorry for your snow! What a day to finish Welcome Spring! Hopefully Spring will show up soon. ;) Great progress on your other pieces.

  8. good stitching progress Melinda and just the weather to get more done. We are having very cold weather (north spain) and rain, rain and more rain.

  9. Oh my goodness! At least your stitching is Spring-like
