March Ornament and More

As promised - my Not Christmas Green or Christmas Red Ornament.  I really have to try to finish one of these before too long.  The stitching is the easy part.

If you get a moment, please check out Stitching Lotus to enjoy the variety of ornaments and blogs taking part in this Ornament of the Month SAL.

Dog Blessing March 2013
Next up, my Dog Blessing from Stoney Creek.  This is part of my Crazy 2013 Challenge, and this is my before.  And below is how it looks right now.  This is a fun stitch, and I think I will pick it up again very soon.  This is one of those I have had on my TODO list for awhile.  Sunday was the anniversary of the day my Dog arrived at my house.  She is a rescue and is a wonderful addition to my home.  I have had her for five years now.

And this is my newest Purchase. Don't you JUST LOVE IT.
It is a Faithminder.  This is handmade, by Faith, over at Faithfullly Stitching.  Check out the link to see all of her wonderful "Faith Minders".  This came at the best time, two days after I ordered it - SO QUICKLY and right after I lost two needles in like a half hour.  As you can see it is a beautiful shade of Orange, my favorite color - but Faith has several to choose from.

Some WIPS and Some Finishes

This is a Handblessing Chart.  One of my Crazy January 15 Starts and it is my first Finish of the charts I started in January 2013.  This is stitched in Green DMC S501.  I am not sure if this will be an Oranment on the tree, of just a tiny picture, but it so reminds me of pictures of me when I was little - I think it is the night gown.  My girls  always had brand new flannel nightgowns on Christmas Eve and there was always at least one Teddy Bear under the tree.

This is my second finish from the January 15 starts.  It is an Irish Blessing from Keepsake Calendars.  I opted to use fabric I already had instead of purchasing new, and I am disappointed in my choice as I wanted a more rough and tumble look.  But once I started, I kept going - I thought it would grow on me, didn't, but I think I can try to use some imaginative finishing to dress it up a little. I wanted to finish this before St Pats day.   I am not Irish - Scottish, But I do enjoy the Irish traditions and blessings.
Lets do Coffee update, I was with grandkids all last weekend, so I wanted a one color wonder.  I really do love my coffee.  And I probably drink it as many different ways as mentioned in this Work.

I also worked on my March Ornament for the SAL and finished it - but won't show it off until the last Wednesday and a little more on a SnowBelles for my SAL.

This is a big night for us Syracuse Basketball Fans - I have often times been in New York City this week every year for the Big East Basketball Tournament, but this year between my job and finances it didn't seem to work, so I am home watching on TV.  We are playing one of our biggest Rivals tonight - Georgetown, and they have beat us twice this year.  I will be stitching and I think I will stitch on AIDA tonight - watching the game, it is so hard for me to count when doing over two and watching basketball.

Please all, hug the ones you love today.

Fat Men and Snow Belles March 1

March 1, 2013 Snow Belles, Fat Guys

I think this will be my largest project ever, when it is finished. I also know it will be a project I have had great fun stitching.  Denise over at Riverside Stitching is hosting this SAL, we are stitching the guys and belles together.  Isn't that such a fun idea?

It is crazy to me, it is already March 1 - it seems Easter is coming so quickly this year - I really hate when it is in March - even though the last Sunday, I always like it better in April.  It's a weather thing, it is never warm enough in Central New York in March for "Easter Dresses and Bonnets".
