April Update

April Showers.  OR any project with water.  This is the theme for Aprils Theme Tas Stitch monthly SAL  For the first week of this month - I was all about this theme, as it either rained or snowed just about every day so far in April.  I hope to have a few more Rainy stitching by the 21st but I do want to finish Woneta, 4 calling birds, and a couple other WIPS.
I finished my Puddle Dancer by HandsBlessing.  I am giving this to my daughter who dances in the Summer Rain all the time.  But I have to do it again to keep for me.

I had a new start finish my I love New York - Yankees.  I left out the word Yankees Because I don't think this CloudsFactory chart needs it..  This post would be all about baseball if I spent anymore time explaining.  But my mom who would have been 90 this year - loved, loved, loved listening to the Yankees on the Radio - every, every game all summer long.  Her love of the game and the team was passed down to all of my siblings and grandkids  It was a warm and fuzzy project. I am going to find a couple of buttons to add instead.  I choose many of my projects as if I am still stitching gifts for her.  Oh wait a minute - what does have to do with rain... Because the worse thing that happens while listening to baseball on the radio is RAIN DELAYS
This is the cake my Baker Daughter made for me for my birthday a couple of years ago .  Summer stitching is best while listening to baseball on the Radio

Below is my Finish of Springology As I mentioned in a previous post I am only stitching two squares  And they are finished.  And of course we have our great rain boots and umbrella.

  1. We've been having a lot of rain too here in Indiana. Great stitching. Love the idea of the buttons on the Yankee piece. I think that will add a fantastic touch. The Spring design is really cute.

  4. A great rainy post! Rain is forecast for our Easter weekend I think. Never mind, when it rains I stay in and stitch!

  10. Lovely project for the April theme, Melinda.
That cake looks gorgeous and although I have nothing to do with baseball I'd really love to taste a piece, lol.
Love the story about your mom always listening to the games on the radio.

  12. That is so adorable! I well remember the "no pants" for girls rule, too! It wasn't until my senior year in high school that we were allowed to wear slacks... Too funny considering the very short skirts that we had been wearing :)
