Fall Stitching

I can never say enough about how much I love Autumn.  I love the way it smells - the colors, the weather.  It is really I think my favorite time of year - new beginnings with the start of a new school year in September, Apple Picking and Pumpkins and Halloween in October and of course a whole month to totally reflect on all my blessings and be Thankful.  I do a lot of  "Fall Stitching"

From Just Cross Stitching Halloween Issue - These I changed all the colors on and used some stuff from my stash and stitched on Congress Cloth 25 ct.

Year in Chalk - Hands On Design.

Hands on Design - Year in Chalk.  So I did start this a little late in the year.  But I am working on having this completed next year (2016).  These stitch up very quickly - well I did make a mistake with October and November - but I would rather adjust than to Frog and enjoy the imperfections -- as I celebrate all the reasons I am not perfect.  The tutorial for finishing these is amazing (http://handsondesign.biz/).  Cathy at http://www.handsondesign.blogspot.com/  has quickly become one of my favorite designers.

Christmas Is by Waxing Moon

This is my Santa's Village - and because I just can't imagine trying to do this as one piece anymore, I finished Santa's house without the bottom border.

Here is my finished Santa Stocking - hanging up on my kitchen cupboards in my house - yes my cupboards do have painted apples on them.
